Rebound’s Partner RWBRFC Announce Their Community Rugby Coach Initiative

Royal Wootton Bassett RFC has just announced their schools’ Community Rugby Coach initiative through support from Rebound Electronics’ continued partnership with the club.

The initiative allows the club to develop Rugby Union within the local community through a Community Rugby Coach who will be working in local primary and secondary schools, networking together with other local community groups.

This will play a huge role in introducing the sport to children who might not have otherwise had the opportunity to take part or experience organised activities before, whilst also potentially providing RWBRFC and other local clubs with some new young members interested in exploring rugby within a community club environment.

Rebound are extremely proud to be able to support the club with this initiative, providing funding for the first two-year period, in the hope that the role will then become self-financing as schools “buy-in” the Community Rugby Coaches from their sports budgets.

Jamie Lewis, Marketing Manager, had this to say on the partnership:

‘We believe that everything can change for the better when communities come together.

Rebound’s commitment to the community and ensuring our youth have access to initiatives like this is as strong as ever because we recognise the importance of championing and inspiring younger generations on their journey.

Sport plays a crucial role in the development of children and we believe all children have the right to learn, play, have fun and develop through a sport they enjoy. Sport is for all.

Our continued partnership with Wootton Bassett RFC Ltd embodies this belief and commitment to local community.

Keep up the great work Bassett!’
