In his 5 years at Rebound Electronics, Andy Ting has successfully worked to develop the company’s regions in Asia as Sales Director, Asia. Based in Hong Kong, he has had a huge impact on Business in China and is leading a team to exhibit at Rebound’s first electronica China, Shanghai this month.
Although his first ever job was as a graphic designer, working within the electronics world was more suited to him and Andy has now been working in the industry in various roles for more than 17 years, bringing a great deal of knowledge and experience to Rebound. He has been instrumental in building a strong name for Rebound in the Chinese market, with Rebound now sitting as one of the top distributors of electronic components.
When asked about the current market in China, Andy advises that they, like many, have seen a change in the market over the first half of 2023, most of China’s business is in the EMS industry and everyone in the market knows that business is soft, including clients. He talks about how the team have been facing a harder time over the last 6 months, however clients are starting to get back on track and we are continuing to offer them good support and the same dedicated service.
As part of continuing to support and develop client relations, Andy and his team will be exhibiting at Electronica China in Shanghai from the 11th -13th of July, in Hall 6.2, Booth E131. He comments:
“This is very exciting news and Rebound’s first time exhibiting in China. This is a good time to meet clients after 3 years of lockdown in China due to COVID19 and we have so many clients planning to come and see us. We had such a good result at Electronica Munich last November and this time will be an extension for those clients we didn’t meet in China last time. I really looking forward to this show for Rebound Electronics.”
In terms of the future for Rebound Electronics Asia, he talks about how it will continue to go in the right direction as the team grows. “We have over 100+ staff in Asia and most of them are very experienced in this industry.” He believes that although the market is tough, with the effort and capabilities of our staff and Rebound’s service offerings that we will continue to be our clients trusted and effective partner.
We look forward to seeing how Andy and the team in Asia will progress in the upcoming years. Thank you for you dedication.
