Rebound Electronics: Structural Changes

Rebound Electronics Founder and CEO Simon Thake announces new executive roles and promotions to capitalise on the Market, Technology, and Organisational Opportunities to Drive Accelerated Performance and a Customer Value Proposition.

One constant throughout Rebound Electronics’ 22-year history is its awareness, timing, and courage to evolve to capitalise on changing external dynamics.

Now in our 23rd year, Rebound has successfully navigated shortages/surpluses, industry skills shortages, globalisation, acquisitions, divestments, technological revolutions (from fax machines to laptops to cell phones to servers and cloud computing), and a global pandemic.

All the time, remaining consistent with its core values & culture.

Simon commented, “We see significant opportunity over the coming five years to achieve accelerated growth via innovation, increased customer satisfaction, and competitive differentiation. We need to be relentless in adding value to our customers’ supply chains while being ever more efficient within our organisation. “

“Even after 22 years, I still get excited that our strong executive team has the drive, energy, and passion to keep moving forward and not rest on our laurels.

Technology is an absolutely critical component in the business mix, and this is becoming increasingly important with Big Data/Cloud/AI, etc. Rebound has been successful because of the incredible team of people across the globe, represented by all nationalities, cultures, and creeds.

All with the same aim. Building an ever better business that delivers superior value to our customers.”

“To powerfully drive forward for the next five years, I am delighted to announce the following Executive Roles & Promotions.”

Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) / Grant Fairbairn

Grant has been a critical leader in driving change over his 21 years at Rebound.

Having spent the initial years of his Rebound career working in the UK, Grant has lived and worked in Asia and the Middle East since 2012 and has travelled extensively across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. In his new role, he will drive global sales performance and customer experience by listening to our customers, Innovating, and achieving even greater consistency while understanding and respecting local cultures.

Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Raj Keshvara

Raj joined Rebound in 2016 after 14 years of experience at Future Electronics in sales and marketing roles. During his 9 years at Rebound, Raj has demonstrated success and expanded his portfolio from the UK to Northern Europe and then added Mexico/Americas.

In his new role, Raj will focus on everything operational, including Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, Quality, and Information Technology. He will build on existing developments to fully capitalise on the opportunities this dynamic and exciting area offers.

Chief Financial Officer ( CFO) / Alasdair Mackay

Alasdair joined Rebound in 2023. Alasdair is a Chartered Accountant and has over 15 years of finance leadership experience in Board and Executive Roles, driving institutionalisation, leading on M&A and raising capital.

During his two years with Rebound, I have been impressed with how Alasdair has seamlessly become a key member of the Executive Team while efficiently enhancing our Finance team and activities.

In his new role, he will drive our Global Finance Function to the next level, preparing for the demanding requirements of the next 5 years of accelerated growth.

I am excited about these three deserved Grant, Raj & Alasdair promotions.

Why?

Firstly, the opportunities ahead of us are clear—both externally, across the market and technology landscape, and internally, through service and productivity improvements.

Grant, Raj, and Alasdair each bring a powerful blend of experience from within Rebound and beyond, enabling them to step into their new roles as a strong, focused leadership team. They deeply understand Rebound’s culture, our values, and—most importantly—the vital role our people play in our success.

We all share the same passion and energy, and a relentless drive for performance—it’s infectious!

As we continue to advance Rebound’s 5-Year Strategy (2025–2030), we are committed to capitalising on both external dynamics and internal strengths. This journey will be powered by accelerated growth, bold innovation, and clear differentiation—delivering even greater value and relevance to our customers in every region, every vertical, and at every scale and level of complexity.

Congratulations and thank you to Grant, Raj, and Alasdair.
